This is the second Uke I’ve ordered from Orangewood. Of the Tenor-size models they offer, it is what you’d consider the “deluxe” version of the two.
The Juno Tenor is the most expensive uke on the Orangewood site, and it’s still under $200.00. It has the look and feel of a premium instrument. And though I’ve paid much more for other ukes, it remains one of my favorite “daily drivers”.
Having had so much fun with the Harper Tenor from Orangewood, I decided to buy this one as well. What you get for this upgrade, is a Cutaway body design and onboard Electronics / Pickup.
Having bought guitars from Orangewood, I had marveled at the attention-to-detail this company takes in the setup and prep, prior to shipping an instrument. They take the same care with Ukuleles as well. The string action is outstanding. Equal-to and often better that I’ve found from dedicated makers-of-uke. Intonation is excellent, holds tune and sounds great.
It comes with a padded Gig Bag, and they thoughtfully include a nice accessory kit as well. You get a Chromatic Tuner, Strap and Chord Chart in the box.
